musicPad is an interactive music installation. It allows up to 16 people to simultaneously connect their device (Droid, iPhone, iPad, etc) over a wifi network to a single computer using an app called TuioPad. This turns each device into a separate midi instrument that is controlled by using the touchscreen as input.

Users can select from a range of different midi instruments or choose the drum pad. With instruments, each finger corresponds to a unique note. Users can control the note, the duration it is played for, and can bend the pitch up or down. Check out the following video for a brief demo it in action.
